The German-American Society Friendship of Pinellas County has been a gathering place for German-American culture since 1951. We're a membership club — run by volunteers who genuinely love what we do.

Our members come from all walks of life. Some have deep German roots. Others just showed up to an Oktoberfest years ago and never left. What keeps people here isn't the bratwurst — though it helps — it's Gemütlichkeit. The untranslatable German word for the warmth of a place where you belong.

We host some of Tampa Bay's most beloved events — Oktoberfest, Sausage Fest, Krampusnacht, Maifest — and we gather most weekends in the Biergarten under our Maibaum. We have clubs within the club: the Enzianer Schuhplattler dancers, the Krampus Verein, the FC Bayern fans who show up at 9am for a watch party. We volunteer, we lose sleep over the menu, we vote on the big decisions, and we show up for each other.

That's been true since thirteen people met in 1951 with nothing but an idea and a shared love of German culture. It's still true today.
