Our events draw a big crowd and on-site parking fills up fast. We recommend arriving early or using Uber, Lyft, or a taxi. (Parking is always free.)
🚌 Take the bus: PSTA Route 66 runs right along 66th Street North with a stop directly in front of the club. It connects Largo Transit Center and downtown St. Petersburg (Grand Central Station), about every 30 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays (hourly on Sundays). View the Route 66 schedule & map »
Do not park at the Zimring office park (north of the venue), at 8200 66th Street North (Southern Technical Institute / Café on the Bayou), or at the Shoppes at 66. You will be towed.
For overflow parking, use the medical complex at the corner of 66th Street North & 78th Ave North.
Worried about the heat? Our indoor Main Hall and Bierstube are open and air-conditioned all day.
What Is Maifest?
It’s not May in Bavaria until the Maibaum stands.
For centuries, Bavarian villages have raised the Maibaum — the Maypole — on the first of May to mark the arrival of spring. Painted in blue and white, wrapped in ribbons, and crowned with a wreath of fresh green, each pole is a point of pride for the town that raises it.
Tradition says neighboring villages will try to steal yours. If they do, you owe them beer and food to get it back. So once it’s up, it’s guarded around the clock — with plenty of Maibock to keep the watchmen going.

The Centerpiece of Our Maifest
Our authentic Bavarian-style Maibaum stands tall over the Biergarten year-round — painted in classic blue and white, adorned with the Zunftzeichen (guild signs) of traditional trades, and crowned with a Maikranz wreath trailing ribbons in the breeze. On Maifest day, our Schuhplattler dancers circle the pole with the traditional Maibaum Dance — braiding ribbons into a woven pattern, then unwinding them back out. It’s a living piece of Bavaria, right here in Pinellas Park. And with our new authentic Biergarten furniture, you will be transported into a traditional German Biergarten!

Maifest Tradition
Maibock
The beer that gives the season its name
Bright golden, crisp, and lightly hoppy — Maibock is a spring bock brewed stronger than a Helles but cleaner than a dunkel. Bavarian monks first brewed it to mark the end of Lent and the start of warmer days. Today it’s synonymous with Maifest itself. Poured fresh into your stein at the Biergarten bar.

Sunshine State Express
Oktoberfest-style music all afternoon — polkas, waltzes, sing-alongs, and the kind of tunes that make a Biergarten feel like home. Four sets between 1 and 5 PM.
Traditional Dance
Enzianer Schuhplattler Verein
Tampa Bay’s own traditional Bavarian dance group performs the Schuhplattler, then leads the signature Maibaum Dance around the pole at 4:00.
