Prinzenball – Coronation of the Carnival Prince and Princess

Saturday, November 7, 2026 · 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Step into a night of sparkle, celebration, and semi-formal splendor as we crown this year’s Carnival royalty! The German-American Society of Pinellas County invites you to don your finest, raise a glass, and dance the night away in true Karneval style.

A Prinzenball is more than just a festive evening—it’s a cornerstone of German Carnival tradition, marking the ceremonial coronation of the Fasching Prinz and Prinzessin. These symbolic royals embody the spirit of the season, ushering in weeks of revelry, satire, and community celebration. Rooted in centuries-old customs, the Prinzenball blends elegance with playful pageantry: guests don semi-formal attire, dance to live music, and toast the newly crowned couple who will preside over Fasching events with flair. It’s a night where tradition meets joy, and the community gathers to honor its heritage with sparkle, laughter, and a touch of royal mischief.
